What exactly is the god damn truth?

Samachar.com has a plethora of newspapers on one page and ready to be accessed by one and all. The more I read the newspapers today, the more I am confused. What exactly is the god damned truth? Different papers have different versions of some story, which never ever even existed. The media has got to be more responsible in the cynical world that we live in right now. We hardly trust anything or anyone these days and with the way things are written these days it really doesn’t help.
There has been a blatant disintegration of Indian journalism over the past few years and it pisses me off to no end to read nonsensical stuff on so called reputed papers like the Hindu, Times of India et al. I feel that TOI is bent upon digging its own grave with all the bullshit that they report.
Sania-Mania- someone needs to slap all these guys reporting every goddamn action of hers. For heaven sake, she has gone into the third or god knows what round in the Aussie open and won a WTA open in Hyderabad where she played against her grandma. I am not taking anything away from her and applaud her for wherever she is right now. It is for the media to accept her position in the tennis world and give her due recognition to what she has done rather than blow it out of proportion. The bloody media has to stop being partisan, be responsible and has to bring rationality to their thinking.
The level of journalism stinks and it is time for someone to step up and stop the sensationalizing bullshit. We don’t want our newspapers to reek of mediocrity and create a whole new generation that doesn’t know what is right or wrong. It is bloody important for the journalists to understand that they are shaping minds, perceptions and attitudes of minds that read them. They create impressions in the mind of the person reading them and will dictate their day to day process. It is important that the journalists and the newspapers on the whole relay direct, concise, accurate and worthwhile information.

You write: "It is bloody important for the journalists to understand that they are shaping minds, perceptions and attitudes of minds that read them."

Newspapers and tv and radio stations are businesses designed to earn money. They will give you some truth but not all the truth. The journalists know they are shaping minds -- that's what they are paid to do: report the news that influences attitudes. Read newspapers, watch tv, listen to the radio, read blogs on the net with an open mind. Come to your own truth.
