Dharma

The time has come to turn back to religion. The time has come to find out more about the great Hindu religion. The time has come to understand the Gita. The time has come to understand and inculcate the importance of religion in life. The time has come to stop being a non-believer. Not that I was a non-believer because I thought that god didn’t exist but because I was lazy to embrace god in my life. I find it pretty strange that I even feel this way where I am questioning my existence in conjunction with religion. I have been contemplating off late about religion and how I don’t know anything about it. Hinduism is supposed to be a way of life and sounds like a good excuse not to know much about it. Well, this excuse is not good enough anymore. It is time to understand the nuances of the religion, its spirituality and its philosophy. I am positive that it is going to be a huge challenge to get a grip of it. Hopefully, it won’t be as difficult as I envisage it to be in my mind. The devil lies in the mind and it is for me to quell it and be victorious.
I was born into this religion for a reason and it is my Dharma to follow it and reap my karma. It is my dharma to learn more and live by it so that I can possibly attain the same bliss that my forefathers attained spiritually. It is not a myth. Times were much better years ago because people followed certain beliefs and had strong faith. It is time for me to try and get that faith into my life. Faith is tough to achieve and faith will happen only if the mind wants it to happen. The soul has to believe that it can be attained and probably life will be a lot smoother. It will probably resemble a sudden wave of cool air blowing through the trees and hitting you with serene bliss on a hot summer day.

The Nets Running-South or North?

The nets galloped along like a herd of antelopes. It looked like an orchestrated effort as they glided past the mid court. It was an amazing feeling to know that the leader of the pack, the great Jason Kidd knew exactly where each player was and created some eccentric plays. The man is an artist. This is the past. The nets are a shadow of what they were. There is no Kenyon, no Kittles scuttling around the basket and dodging the defense of the opposition. Bottom line, one man ran the show and the others knew very well where they stood in the picture of whole things. I am saddened that this orchestra was broken into pieces leaving the leader alone and helpless. He does have the help of RJ, but things aren’t the same. He sits by the sidelines waiting for his broken and worked upon knee to heal itself. Will he stay? I really don’t know and don’t care. He should probably leave for his own good. He should leave to pursue his ring. He should go as he is too good to be wasted. He gave me days and days of happiness with his play. This piece is not an ode to Kidd; this piece is a reaction to the nets as they play the trailblazers. As I see the spirited efforts of RJ, Mourning and the other nets fighting each game with passion, I am waiting to see how long they can fight to keep up their brand name and not disappear into the horizons of mediocrity. The season is still young and anything might happen. I look at life sometimes like a fairytale where good things happen no matter what and maybe this team will prevail and at least prove its salt. I don’t expect it to win the ring, but please at least go where you were supposed to go. This game is an amazing one involving high amounts of skill, concentration and stamina. You get carried away by the game and the way it is played. The spirit it takes to be competitive in this sport is colossal.
How I wish the team was left the way it was. It would have probably not won the ring, but at least we could have seen Kidd create the magic and he had the tools to do so. Kenyon Martin is only as good as a player as Kidd wants him to be. It will be interesting to see how he fares with Denver. He needed Kidd to help him play his game and I can bet a Million bucks that he will never ever be as good as he was here in jersey.
The nets just beat Portland in an offensive struggle and a defensive Mecca. It is not as bad as it looks. If Kidd actually does come back to play for the nets, he might probably manage to create the same magic. We shall see. As I say often say- all in good time. His knee has to come back to working condition. Different factors come into play as personal redemption and ambition will certainly make Kidd think about what and where he wants to play. He might resign to the fact that the nets are where his destiny lies with. At least, the man who believes in fairytales wants it that way.

Little Evil Life of ours

Balance and equilibrium. Sounds like more of the same. Probably is. Thats what we try and do on a daily basis in our lives. Be it relationships, work or anything in life, we try and do it all the time. It is one tough cookie-this equilibrium and balance. How many of us react, proact, live, substantiate, think and behave this way? It is damn tiring. The web of life makes us want to adhere to these factors and processes.Who created this pattern of life? Who created social norms? Who created right and wrong? The amazing thing is that most of the population on this earth live by these rules directly or indirectly. I have always been amazed by the fact that people try and live within a social framework. Imagine, if we never had any rules there would be eternal chaos. There is always a small fraction of the population which doesnt adhere to these rules, the bad apples as they say. They get into trouble with the law, with people they know and within themselves. Most of us humans are pretty decent that way.
